Get the cooler anodized black. A specialty sled shop near me claims 10-12% better cooling with anodized coolers. :shrug Might be worth doing.

377 here in canada was the same retail price as the 391 but the 377 is no longer avaiable...so the mountain guys get the 391. Man are they going to be disappointed. :laugh_old:

This one...It is a 2003 Poo Trailblazer 2x4 chassis.

 

The boys in Idaho has done this before but they engineered the 500ss motor into a 4x4 poo chassis. with the front drive shaft coming under the motor. I would think...alot more work vs 2x4.

 

Wish now i went with the 600ho motor. Note much diff in overall height and width. Because that 600HO, is a strong little motor with the longer stroke.

I think i will going with Jason from striaghtline Performance for the porting and billet head. I like the powerband of his single pipes in the past. So the project will have a custom inframe single pipe built to spec like Jasons 500ss single pipes.

Thanks for the info guys. I can update... on how the 500SS ported motor runs at 70 deg air temp. LOL If anyone is interested. Thanks Ski-B.

Here is something to think about in the off season. Another reason why the 2012s and 2013 are inconsistant.

Remove 20 psi of compression from any motor and it becomes a turd, inconsistant turd. :biggrin_old:

 

I seem to have forgotten... i am no longer running a stock 2012 etec, this past season. Sorry.
