I won a pair Fox HDX Piggyback clicker adjustable shocks on ebay, I have a 2004 summit and they measure the same length as the stock shocks (17"). The seller rebuilt them for me and asked me what year my sled was, when I told him it was a 2004 he said that they would not fit and told me I could get my money back. I've seen revs with similar shocks and don't see why these wouldn't fit as long as they are the correct length, I don't want to jump the gun and do a refund on these unless I'm certain they won't fit.
My track has seen better days, started off as 2" lugs now I wouldn't say there are any that are more than 1.5" and a few rides ago one of the reinforcement rods broke off causing a lug and section of the track to peel off, I chanced a few more rides on it but I think one more and it might rip alltogether. I'm debating on what to replace it with over the summer, I would like to go with 2.25" lugs but I don't see any 144" X 16" x 2.25" tracks available. I could go with a 146" track but I don't like the idea of a single ply track, I've read bad things about them and I tend to run over alot of rocks and trees so I'm afraid that a single ply track wouldn't last (I'm sure everyone has seen that youtube video of the xrs running over a tree and the track snapping).
Can you still buy 144" x 16" x 2.25" tracks?
If I went with a 146" track what would be needed to make it fit?
I know I will need 2.86 drivers, I think the stock onces are 10t 2.52, what would I need to gain enough clearance 9t,8t,7t?
Is there enough adjustment on the stock axle to take up the extra 2" of track? my skid is mounted in the stock position so I can drill new holes and mount it back farther and I could go with 8" wheels if I had to but I would rather not if it wasn't absolutely necessary.
I've done some searching but there isn't a whole lot of info on this.
I noticed today when I was riding that one of the rubber straps that goes from the ski loop to the base of the ski had torn where the mounting bolt goes through it. I think these skis are discontinued but does anyone know if they still make replacement parts for these skis or where I can get one.
Just took apart my primary to change pinweight and I'm thinking I might have put the arms back in upside down the last time I had the clutch apart. Should the curved side be facing down like in the picture or should it be facing up? thanks.
Had some troubles recently with my 04 summit so I've been riding my fathers 2010 600 Etec grand touring (leftover that was used for a demo last year with just a couple hundred miles on it). I was riding it and the temp light came on, the temp gauge was right in the middle of the operating range so it wasn't overheating. It stayed on for just a few seconds then I heard a beep and saw "low oil" check the oil before I left to go riding and it was 3/4 full then a few seconds later I heard another beep and saw "low battery" it stayed there for a few seconds then everything went back to normal and nothing has happened since, it runs flawlessly. Is there anything I should be concerned about? I'm new to these etecs and all the complicated electronics kind of makes me paraniod.
