So my real life, real conditions testing wasn't a true field test? Same sled, same everything. Changed Y pipe that's it.

How much "real field testing" do you do? And out of curiosity where did you get the 2hp number from? Scooter from D&D already posted numbers from a bone stock etec they dyno'd stock and then with the Y pipe, obviously you didn't see them. I'm skeptical of dynos as they are just a tool thus why I posted my real life results to go along with dyno numbers.

No one said it felt like afterburners on a fighter jet. Just said simply I'm pulling 2 grams more weight and sled is running very hard. I think a non ported 800r would see gains as well. Maybe just not as much of a gain as I have seen with trail ported cylinders.

It's fine if guys think it's snake oil or whatever, me and the maestro will lead the pack no problem ;)

Lots of field testing, you  have no idea, dyno is a great testing tool, I prefer track dynos.  2hp is probably at the track, right?  I don't care what the hp is at the motor, got to get it to the track, I'm glad your getting great results, not arguing with you, has your motor been ported?  Many spend lots of money on go fast parts, but can't get the added hp to the track.  I was just curious to see if you switched the y-pipe back and forth with the mule sled and yours, this perhaps would be a great field test provided the motors are same hp.  Pretty hard to find two exact motors out of the box, different conditions merit different results, sounds like yours is running really well, that's awesome, glad to hear it.   :biggrin_old:

try field testing with two stock sleds, (not ported) run them as they are, then put the y-pipe on one of the sleds, then switch  the y-pipe to the other sled, that would be a true field test.  Would like to see the recorded difference.  2hp imho is not going to merit big results if any in a race, with other mods it perhaps will.

Yeah we talked about, I don't have a 21 tooth or I would have tried it. This setup all came together in a week for me besides working midnights I didn't have much time to get things gathered up, sounds like we are going to try the tar racing this summer.  I would love to get this sled into the nines but not sure if I have enough power to get there, probably won't be taking much weight off so it will be heavy.  Look for another post this summer, we will see!

Andrew, I have one you can borrow.

Your right I don't like them, the last doo I liked was the rt Mach cuz they were actually fast, mine went 6200 miles without any major failure, these new lightweight bump sleds are probably very nice but there is something wrong with a 450 pound machine with 160 hp that wont go 120 mph, it makes no sense and people can say what they want but they don't go! My eleven year old sled puts these new ones to shame, it's to bad doo didn't come out with something bigger.  Don't you worry about me I'll stick my beak where I feel neccesary!

LMAO, I can tell you guys one thing for sure,  I would never stick my beak anywhere near Andrews beak for fear he would snap it off like an  icicle!!!!!!!
