I had a German/lab mix that had identical coloring of a saint Bernard. He was 11 years old and I had to have him put to sleep yesterday around 4 p.m. He was the best dog ever and never had any health issues. Started breathing funny about a month ago. A little over a week ago, the right side of his face started to sag and he lost vision in that eye. He lost balance and had a hard time walking due to loss of motor function on his left side. He was extremely uncomfortable and stopped eating a few dats ago. According to the vet, he had a brain tumor and was going downhill fast. It was his time and I didn't want him to suffer any more. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I buried him in the yard next to the deck last night where he liked to lay in the shade. R.I.P. Nanook. Sept 1999-December 31, 2010.
I am so very sorry for your loss....it is hard to loose a friend. My dog passed away 3 months ago and I still cry for him. I am glad Nanook had you as his pet parent because he was really really loved which means he had a great life!
