WHY ?????????

19 February 2012 - 01:58 PM

I see fellow sledders on the TRAIL in the U.P. riding with avalanche packs. What makes this more interesting is that most are on short tracks or crossover sleds with 1.25 lug tracks. Can the guys that actually ride in the steep and deep shed some light on this for me ?????

Sled rides EXACTLY like an xp. Light, responsive, looks nice. Down sides are that it gets 10mpg, no electric start, and is not any faster than my 2009 Renegade X. In fact the gade has more legs on the top end. Cat was stock with 150 miles and studded, Gade has 4500 miles on it, studded, a bikeman y-pipe, Bondi air box, and Howards stage 2 clutch kit. Final assesment.

The cat does not have electric start like the doo
The cat gets 10mpg while my gade gets 13.5mpg
The oil fill on the cat is just ridiculous to get to and gives no indication of oil level other than a small window at the very bottom of the case.
Tool pouch on the cat falls out, buddy got lucky and it stayed in the footwell.
