Thanks for the info my book hasn't shown up yet so I couldn't tell you even what the oil pump looked like. There is however a oil tank that he told me, that oiled the valves and he also said mix the gas 50 to 1. I just wanted to see what I should do from people that really knew what was going on. Thanks a lot.

This thing is a BEAST!!! I love it she also weight's in at a smooth 600 lbs. Good grief its a hand full. Oh and the plugs looked a light gray, looked fine to me. The temp did get up to around 70 to 75 C. not F. so I went to a conversion site and like 167 to 170 degree's. So maybe everything will be ok.

Thanks guys that's all that I could dig up two, but I wanted to get an answer from people that have seen, owned and driven the 617. Now one more ?. Was that all the 617 was used just two years? Sound like get part could be a little hard. I have seen parts on ebay. I bet new parts are even worse!! Dangit I was really hoping that this would have been a motor that was used for years and years so this wouldn't be a problem. Okay I'll stop, anyway I would love to give you guys some pic's but I'm afraid that I might get kicked off this site. I bought this out of Idaho 4200 ft. and I live in Oklahoma at 1200ft. This unknown 617 problem is that I can't get parts for until I know what it came out of, the dealer wouldn't help me at. I'm figuring she should need jets. This incredible the motor (617) that I'm gathering as much info as I can get is in a little mini sand rail. I really hope that this does not make anyone upset with me. I'm just needing help and I'll take it from anyone who can..... Thanks everybody
