My top dollar guess woulkd be $4,000.00. That is if the rings have been changed and everything looked well maintained. I saw a clean used '04 gade at the dealer last weekend tagged at $4,600.00. Mid Michigan area.

My compression is 124 and 127. The ring update on my 04 MXZX renegade has never been done. Is the ring update covered by Ski Doo? My mechanic is telling me it needs to be done. How hard is it to do my self? What do I need to do it, parts and tools?

Talk with your dealer. From my experiance some will cover all of it, some cover parts only and some won't do anything. My dealer wouldn't do anything so I went to another who covered all of it. You can guess where my business goes to from now on.

If you have some experiance and time to work on it yourself, go for it.

It looks good. It will look even better on the snow.
