In Topic: which accessories?

08 April 2012 - 11:26 AM

I have an 09 P-teck right now and we put on 150km with 1/10th of a tank left (easy riding). I think I am going to try riding without a jerry can on my new XM.
Scratchers
quick clickers
a cover that is not going to tear apart in the wind
MBRP can
And a smile

THe ski doo covers wont tear in the wind if you use a small bungee around the seat and around the windshield area to keep it down tight.

but the best tarp out there is the SKINZ one i think, but it better be for the $350 price tag it has.

Scratchers saved me from going into limp mode several times. The overheating warning
will flash across your guage.  A hard packed trail is a common thing to get to the
powder.  And one other accessory??? Don't put cheap gas in your expensive machine. The
manual says minimum 91 octane.  Use Chevron 94 octane fuel and you won't have to worry
about detonation sensor being overworked.

or it not working at all!? haha

I cant stress this enough, and running octane boost or ethanol treatment in every tank is very inexpensive solution.

These sleds are pushing 160 plus hp out of 800cc two cylinder, make sure you don't give them bad fuel, and learn from my mistakes when i just put a nice hole in my crankcase and had a $700 bill from a heli to lift it out.

and IDs list has the best stuff on it.

Just my tips, take it or leave it

send your free ride shocks to ian at monster performance to get shortend, this is your cheapest and best bet, you have the nice freeride shocks so use them.

i would reccomend a revalve if your a really aggressive rider while your at it.
