I bought a 02 mxz 700, at the beginning of last season! First ski doo was really excited, rode it for a little over a week! While riding one day engine just lost power, and died. I trailed to shop from there, they claim it was mag side crank seal, and offered to repair for 1,900$! I told them no thanks! The cylinder, and piston on mag side are toast! I already have a new cylinder, and am about to order some mcb dual ring pistons for it. So my question is how hard is it to replace seals in crank? Can I just split it, and reseal? Is there any timing? This is my first two stroke rebuild! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
