Anybody familiar with the 717 rotary valve engine? Are they any good? I got a jet ski from work with a blown motor and I have a brand new engine on the way from SBT.

I used to have a 97 SPX, it was the 783cc motor (110hp), I put about 300 hours on that motor before I sold it, never had a hiccup, and had the full R&D performance kit on it (pipe, flame arrester, head).

My friend's parents had a 96 SPX that was their backup ski that had the 717 in it, and it's probably got about 600 hours on it and last I heard it's still running great , it's bone stock with no service work done to it, ever.
