Does anyone know if the 1968 and 1970 olympic chassis are the same?? Will the 1968 hood fit onto the 1970 chassis. It looks like it should but I am not sure. Thanks in advance for any replies.

No there is a difference. For 1 of many things, the rear part of the suspensions bolt in differently, the hoods are different. The 68 is more pointed and beak-like. The 69 and 70 were bubbled. The the clutch guard mounts the chaincase dimensions depending if the 70 is a 335 or 399(single or double row chain). The handle bar supports mount differently, ski spindles. But the original question, no the hoods might fit to some degree but they are differentlyproportioned.

Also, to add to that, the 70's hood had latches and the 68's were screw downs like the 69's. A 67 hood would fit better than a 69 or 70, but they were rivet style.
