I have achance to purchase a used pb 80 clutch and a cudney clutch kit for a 1200. He wants 475 for it. It has 3000 kms on it. What should I look for when purchasing a used pb 80 clutch if anything?

I have achance to purchase a used pb 80 clutch and a cudney clutch kit for a 1200. About 900 with shipping to canada. He wants 475 for it. It has 3000 kms on it. What should I look for when purchasing a used pb 80 clutch if anything?

You might ask the actual owner to unscrew it open , and take a picture of the actual ramp wear, and plastic block wear too, this will help to determine how much use this clutch had seen, but quite honestly...PB-80 is a very well designed clutch so it won't wear out quite fast as other clutches.

I did purchase the exact same used clutch 1 week ago here locally, opened it, and it looked perfect...nice buy...!
I paid 380$ for it, including the big tool to hold the ramp cover while unscrewing the big nut...plus a small bag with all the little weights needed in the blocks to properly set the clutch up.

These are close to 600$ brand new with the taxes, so at 380$ i was happy...! :)

Don't know about the Cudney clutch kit for these....good or bad...? Can't confirm for this.

His stuff is very good.I have his set up PB 80 & headers. If your looking for real HP gain you will need the Headers which he sells for your sled I did and what a differance it makes . But now all is for sale as the sled is about to be replaced and I can not use them on my new one .
