I have a 2005 mxz 550f than came without a tach. I have a tach(#515175943) I would like to add to sled, anyone done this install before or know what other parts I will need? thanks.

the wiring harness isn't set up for a tach on the 05 550F. you'll need a kit. check with your dealer
You know you raised your son right when you start the sleds and he says 'Dad, I love that smell!!

I think I have a complete harness from a 550 GSX that had a tach in it.If you are interested I will look.

I have the harness, would like what I paid$ 35 plus shipping. As I remember there were two connectors cut off that went on the beeper I think but not a big deal as they were just a female 1/4inch spade connector. I bought it for my daughters sled but she totaled it before I got around to putting it on.

So swapping the harness and adding the gauge is all thats necessary?


They used to make a "kit" as superman said, but I have not been able to locate one...SUCKS!
