Lookin for a good decent set-up for water skippin this summer , right from clutching, carbs , gearing ??

AS it stands i have 25 49 gearing .. 300main 45pilot needle second from top . 1 1/4 track studded . Clutching i have 412ramps
stock secandary spring . helix is a 56-40.

Any ideas would be great . i myself was thinkin goin back to stock sno-X set-up should be fine?

I would leave the stock rs clutch as it has a nice engagment rpm. Probelly would drop that top gear down to a 21 or a 19. I run a 19 and 49 on mine. That way you can keep the torque up and keep it slow enough to do figure 8t's. Maybe change out the secondary spring to a stiffer setup.

I used to run a zx on the water lots of work went into it it was a 600 used 1 1/4 track cant use studs i ran all kinds of carb stuff 350-400 area due to temps and used a clipped needle bored drains in the crank case. drains on the carbs, as for clutch adj pin kit for tra 3 used 45grams i think i ran a 670 belt used stock ramps in rear used a progressive helix in the front, ramps in front were mod'ed set clutch buttons to 2 used 20-44 gearing i think god its been too long.... shim front spring on rear skid to get the right angle so it didnt dive in when you take off....i had a narrow front end made for mine that was solid..

X2 on the done stock 440. Just took the seat off!! I had to rejet tho it was to warm out and i sunk it the second time across! She was rich. But the hole stud thing i wouldnt worry. Im glad i had them one of the lanes was mud so they helped get me out on the water better the guy after me just spun and end up going down and had no studs. The RS is going to get run this summer the same way
