Is it a new or used unit ? I'd ride it for awhile first then you'll know what's needed .i start with 84 studs up the middle of the track ,and 6" shapers in the middle of the ski's and put the stock 4" runners on the outside .Make sure you keep the belt tight and enjoy !!

Don't get sucked into the vortech of the haters that complain about the sled!

They are great sleds, however they do need some set up and learning about what

they react like in all conditions. I have the same sled and since day one I

drove it like I stold it. During break in it coughed maybe 3 times. Never looked

back. You can throw a few hundred bucks at it and be really happy! Great sled!

X2- spend the morning getting used to it! For any suspension adjustments. Go ride. I did above mods. Steering for me was too tight. Made a few adjustments, perfect!

it is a used unit it has 500 miles on it me and the owner weigh pretty much the same, this has the r motion package, it has the 6 in shapers on there already. but one question for you what would mean by keeping the belt tight?

as the drive belt wears its streaches and wears ,therefor you need to keep the drive belt adj. with minimal deflection (how loose the belt is ).don't run the track too tight ,and on the ditigal tach get the wot rpm not over 7900 rpm .you'll love it ,enjoy !!

Yes, the track is premarked. Helps balance the sled.....

Thanks JT... Is this a very common thing for people to do? And will it help with darting?

Also do you think it migh cause oversteer?

It gives you better steering and it prevents the outside of your ski's from wearing out in less than 1K miles (which they will if you don't move something to the outside of the ski).
