Well my new comet 102c clutch came in with all it's parts. I put it together in a matter of minutes and tossed it on the motor. Haven't been able to try it out cause I had to replace a coil and of course upon trying to start it the cord broke. But I got all the needed parts. I hope to make a victory lap tomorrow with it. I just hope I dont run into any other issues. I should be done with some other mods that I am doing. A little history. My dad used to race this sled up at long lake in the 80's. At some point its stock track bit the dust so my dads friend who owned a 75 245 had a bunch of spare parts and installed a 75's track and skid. Soon after they stopped racing and it's mostly been sitting ever since. I did some upgrades on our other sleds and had a spare sc10 and a 121 inch track as a result. So I bought a set of drivers from wahl bros and am in the process of buttoning up that mod. So once I get it down off the hoist and moving under it's own power I hope to put a new hood on it. I've got my eyes on a sno pro hood cause I think they look awesome but I will def settle for a new stock hood.

Its the stock 250. My computer is not working at the moment so I can't transfer pics. I will see what I can do. Nothing really to see at this point cause it's still in a ton of pieces. Lol. But it's making progress.

Here is one of the suspensions mocked up. I am trying to figure out where it looks like it will be correctly placed. This is close but it will be back a about two inches more.

More to come.

Mfg supply sells them but they didnt actually stock it so it had to be shipped from comet. It was uncalibrated. It took about 3 weeks to get it. I just realized today the factory belt guard won't work without modding it. The part that goes between the clutches basically will need to be removed.

Once I get it functioning I am going to start cosmetics. I got it running today. Which I was jumping around like an idiot. My dad was pretty excited too. I need to get my butt in gear and get the skid mounted so I can see how the old girl rides. It's an SC10 out of my 97 mach and the track is a fairly new 5/8ths lug. I bought new jets for the carb and put all new gaskets in the engine last year. Ran new fuel lines and a new primer. Replaced a coil, the plugs and wires. Need to get proper replacement wires if anyone knows where I can pick some up? I was going to do a Nippo swap but wanted to see if I could get it to run with replacing a coil. I may still do it just for reliability sake. I have a bunch of chaincase gears. I was wondering what the factory gears were also? Any suggestions or recommendations as far as gearing?

I was kind of worried about doin the swap. I didnt want it to look stupid or out of place on it. But it almost looks like it belongs there. I never really got to ride the Mach that I got the skid from in the snow but it would wheelie like no other and not like a few inches, it would be straight up and down. Since dropping the sc10 II from my mxz in my Mach, it just takes off like a bullet with hardly lifting the skis at all. I am interested to see how this sled rides with this skid of death under it. Especially with the new clutch. Lol.

I really was tempted to go long with it but I think it would be a bit much. Lol. If you ever wanted see what a 136 inch rv would look like here you go. Yes I have too much free time and spare parts.

Well here it is. I only got a hundred feet out and back from the shop. Its running out of fuel. I need a new line in the tank I think. And I need to add some ski pressure. Lol. Other then that it runs and moves. It's just little details now. Posted Image
