So, we have been having a bit of an argument with one of our Skidoo dealers about 800R short block motors and the cranks that come in them. Does anyone know if there is a different bore depth on the PTO end that the clutch bolt threads into on any of the years from 08 to 2012? I've looked up part numbers on all the short blocks, each year is different, but the 2010 also says in the dealers parts book that the motor is to come with a new clutch bolt #417300296. This bolt is the same bolt used in '08,'09,'11. Any info would be great, thanks.

All of them require a shorter puller or one with longer/more threads on it; the nose on the old standard Rev 600HO/800HO is too long. If that says anything. I don't know the specific answer to your question.

I wonder do you want to get away with a 09-10 crank in a previously 08? Me 2 lol 
BRP sells a tunnel repair kit for $50 to fix a mistake. So my 2k mile/2yr old 399lb sled had a tower failure with clutches smashing, it made them 3k in parts + a tunnel. Doo they wear ski masks?
