I just snow checked my first brand new sled. It's
a 2013 mxzx 800 shorty. I have always used amsoil, but this is the first time my machine will have a valid warranty. Has anyone ever had problems from a dealer because of using aftermarket oil? Im just wondering what I
should use. Winter can't come soon enough.

Using a good oil will not void your warranty. I personally dont consider amsoil a good oil.

In the E-Tec I would definitely use Doo oil.

I've used interceptor in all my etecs without issue. I'm planning on using the brp semi synthetic in my new 600 etec 2013. Had issues with my 2012 etec and just want to be safe next yr. watching the brp video regarding the brp oils sold me. Either real good marketing or just my nervous nature. ...watch the video and decide

Congrats on the order. Take the guesswork out of it...refer to the manual when you get it and follow BRP's recommendation, which will likely be XPS full syn. (yellow jug).

It sounds like I should use the doo oil. It's my first new sled and it makes the most sense to follow the factory recommendations. Thanks for the input. Dam its going to be a long summer I'm already thinking about what oil I want to burn.

My roommate many years ago used to sell Amway. He had an aerosol spray similar to Lysol that he tried to sell us, it was expensive, we bought a can of the stuff just so he could get his commission. I read the label and it said "kills the aids virus"...ROTFLMAO.. I've never trusted AMWAY since. I sure hope the company has changed and I'm sure Amsoil will kill the aids virus too. He also sold us laundry detergent. This stuff was like 100 bucks but he said you only had to use half as much. What a joke. I don't trust any multi level marketing company.. period. Plenty of peeps here claim the oil is great but I'll continue using the doo oil. In the grand scheme of things, it's not a bunch more money

Just because someone makes their sled loud doesn't mean trails are closing. I can make my sled as loud as i want to. I'm half tempted to run the loudest set of pipes I can just to irritate people

On a 13,000 dollar sled there is no reason to be cheap with the oil.

It will be a long summer. Look at the bright side though, you'll be able to burn up at least 6 to 8 weeks staring at pictures trying to decide where to put your registraton stickers. :)
