So my relatives in Armstrong said that schools were closes yesterday in Thunder Bay due to snow, and it's still snowing!

Should we bring the sleds out of hibernation?

hey Stealth i see you are on a freeride . i ride ontario from bottom to top and into quebec 99 % trail , have played around a bit in 2-3 ft with the xrs . i want to venture off trail more and am close to buying the 137 freeride . next year i will doo a quebec trip and hoping to get to BC in april but again most of my riding will be ont . wondered what lug you went with and if the 1.75 did you stud and how many and how long . if you have a moment i wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts as i am new to this off trail game .

thanks Doug

Why not the BCX? It seems to be a better option for on trail/off trail.

Because the Freeride has the stiffer XRS chassis, and Doug likes his sleds to last through the bumps.

Doug, I get stuck alot with my Gade 1.25", and BAD and others have said the 1.75" or even the Cobra 1.5" would be a better floater off trail, but I personally would opt for the 1.75" track, but I am sure I could get that stuck even more!

How true I just get stuck in deeper sno and worse spots. But it's fun. Beside's the shocks that pretty well uncoupled rear suspension makes a big difference offtrail also.

Snow Eh? I saw some pictures on the news but I am truly done for the season. Besides the boat is blocking the sled now.

thanks for the imput everyone . i looked at the back country x as well . i am keeping the xrs for strictly trail running . the freeride seems more capable off trail though i know i will have to ride trail with it to get there. And Scrimmers right i prefer the stiffness and ergos of the rs chassis . even the r-motion in the xrs i found too soft , was bottoming a lot and i ended up putting stiffer springs in it. i am going with the 1.75 lug . Now i have 8 months of waiting and weekend jobs to pay for the thing .and to get used to squadron green.

Thier calling for 10 cm on mon Might have to take the 380f for a rip around the yard if that happens. It's for sale also if anyone knows some one. Thier could be a box of beer involved for a commision.

One of my choppers is stuck in Val D'Or due to the "heavy" snow falling!
