Hi Guys,
My name is Isaac and I have purchased a 2013 Ski Doo Renegade X 800 e-Tec. This sled is mint but I dont think it'll preform in the powder that well compared to the BCX. I do a bunch of trail riding to not just powder so I went with the Ren X. I need help! I am getting a carbon fiber can, and some bar risers/new bars for this sled. But these wont help it in the powder. I need something that is not crazy expensive and will help in the powder but wont affect me while ripping the trails. Thanks guys I hope you can help me!

~Isaac

First thing I though of after reading your post was track. The BCX might have been a better choice because of the deeper lug track on it (I run a 2" right now, and use my machine on and off trail with no issues, not that I spend too much time on trail though).

How deep is the snow we're talking about?

Absolutely not!! I have tried and tried, every single time I get my Summit pointed down the trail it veers off left or right through the trees, up the mountain, over the top, down the other side, not to be seen again for hours on end.....lol. I just love that problem.

OMFG.....

Same responses from 3+ forums and you haven't grasped this concept yet?? Sorry to any mods for this post, but it gets frustrating.

It goes something like this:
- More in back= More PAH to get through the deeps, but less longevity for riding on trails.
- More in front= Keeps your nose up in the pow

Well, I know for a fact you asked it on Snowmobile forum, Hardcore Sledder, and here. No telling what other's i haven't seen.

Some variation of the question on how to rice out a renegade.
You are over thinking it. Just RIDE the machine!

Get a 1.75 track, slydog 7" or 8" powder hound skis, ice scratchers, SPL exhaust, clutck kit, reeds.

That would be a good off and on trail sled. But to save money get the track and skidoo DS skis.

No need to hate dude..... I'm just asking. I'm freaking 14 and I have only enough money that I earn working in the summer. I want to invest it in my sled so I'm looking for a good part to put on. Chill out dude. If you don't like me asking questions to get different answers on different forums you don't have to comment. If you have something good to say go ahead but seriously.... Ik your saying just ride it! I get it. I have ridden renegades a lot since most people in my family have them. But my friends renegade has a ton of mods and it can go through anything....... Just saying. Sorry bro.

I'm sorry if I have come across as aggressive or "hatin" ... but you must realize that many, if not most people who are regulars on internet forums usually frequent more than one site.

Well put for a 14 year but I hate to break the news to ya. You bought the wrong sled if you don't want to spend a lot of money on it to get through the deep snow.

Should have gotten the BCX. The only big money difference between the BCX and what you want to do with your rene is the a-arm width.

The 1.25 will hold it's own through a lot of things. A 1.5 is a better all arounder though (may not be worth the cash over the 1.25 though). It depends on which 1.75 you go for. Some will hold up very well on trails. The main question is if you ever run on trashed trails (snirt, mud, gravel, etc.) If you do, a 1.75 is likely to break up pretty quick and cause some major hyfax and overheating issues. If the trails are fairly thick and white 90% of the time, a 1.75 will hold it's own on trail. Just be aware that more kick in the back will also cause push in the corners.

A 1.75 would not be bad with ice scratchers.

I'm just worried about when I jet to town. I do about 95 the whole way with my MXZ so my dad can keep up. But the lake is usually flat and hard. I don't want to ruin the track. Deff don't want to get something I don't need. Thinking about bcx 1.5
