Stock 2002 Mach Z Sport. I don't plan to run it in a circuit ... just want to have some fun with the boyz 4 braggin' rights. I haven't heard of any upcoming races yet but I do like to go when I can so maybe I will see you there ... just not on the track ... LOL!

Quite true!X2 better brown and racing then grey and going home.
You need fuel to make power.
That's something else I've always agreed on ... one thing that still puzzles me is why the later year Mach Zs like my 02 came with 290 mains and the 99 and 00 came with 310 across the rest of the carb calibration being the same. Before I bought my 02 I wouldn't have thought I could jet my 99 down two sizes and run all winter like that. Any idea why Doo would have dropped two sizes ... it's not like the 99+'s were slow?
Here is a link for spark plug reading...hope this helps, Allen.

Great info Thanks! I didn't reallize a plug can tell you all that ... I think I'll leave it as is for now as bragging rights aren't worth a blown motor.

stock motor, 500 ft drag... time your run on a track.... if you gain something in time or throttle response by dropping them , drop it a little bit..!!

do some test and tell us your resultim interested about this subject !! have a great test day !
I'm afraid I won't have much time to do any testing ... too many other things going on this summer. I thought the burn on that plug looked pretty good but I'm suprised how defined the color change is. I'd rather play it safe and stay on the rich side but was curious what those who normally run 500' like their plugs to look like.
