My 1997 Ski Doo Mach 1 700cc Triple has not seen much use since 2003. For sentimental reasons, I just couldn't bring myself to sell it. There's just something about the sound of that triple! Still in great shape at 3000km's!

I'm from the west coast of Newfoundland, so I grew up with the Lewis Hills in my backyard where a mountain sled is where it's at. I am currently living in Labrador, but am moving to the Yukon this summer. I figured the Mach 1 could be put to use in the Rockies after it gets stretched! After seeing some of the long track extensions being made here, I have decided that I am going to resurrect the old girl, making it more like a Summit.

This is the plan, let me know what you think:

-SC10 III Suspension 151" (what CTC measurement will be needed?)

-151x16x2 or 151x16x2.31 New Style Challenger / 151x16x2.25 PowderMax or 154x16x2.3 Powdermax (with bigger wheels or rail extension)

-SLP 2.86" 8 tooth driver (or will 2.52" 9 tooth driver do the job?, maybe you can tell me as I don't have a clue what is
needed: http://startinglinep...6&productID=924)

-SLP S2000 Chassis extension 121" to 136/144" (I can't find a 151" extension)

-Pilot DS skis (or something better)

-PowerMadd mountain bar and riser combination

-Anything else?

Oh, and feel free to suggest something different. I'm still in the planning stage.

If you need a longer tunnel extension, give Liz at Van Amburg Enterprises a call. They can fab you any length you need.

Too bad you aren't any closer. I recently move back from the mountains to the flatlands and have extra tracks and suspensions and some Jaws High elevation pipes for the 800 triple F chassis.

Let's face it...most of the stuff in the lounge is useless banter by the same ten or so people.

maluchm, I saw you had some photo's of a 151 on a F2000 chassis but I can't seem to find them. Do you have a link?

I may pick your brain a little more on this topic...

Would 800 pipes fit on the 700?

If your talking F-chassis yes the 800 pipes work on the 700 and the 600 :)

wow, I didn't know that. (yes we're talking F-chassis)

I was looking at purchasing new pipes, but now I'll keep an eye out for 600/700/800 trail pipes.

After a bit of research, I take it that a smaller engine (700) can use the bigger pipes without any problems (800).

I'm having a much more difficult time finding any information on a F2000 drop/roll. Probably because the internet wasn't invented back when people were doing this? lol. Anybody have any info on this?

I noticed that you can't receive PM's right now.

I'm curious about those pipes. What makes them "high elevation", i.e. how high? What extra suspensions/tracks do you have?

Do you have them for sale?

Generally, from what I have seen, the High elevation pipes have a smaller stinger diameter. Greg from Jaws told me these would work fine at low elevation but I'd have to change out the stinger sections on the pipes and connecting pipes on the silencers. I have been told it's stil the same "J" pipe stampings. These pipes are set up for about 6000 ft and higher in elevation

Tracks and skids I'll get some part numbers and descriptions for you. One skid is out of my 01 Summit Highmark X fully rebuilt and powder coated another came off an 03 REV conversion and I think I have a third about the same length. Might all be 151's but the sleds had set backs on them so the tracks are a bit longer then that.

Everything is for sale

I have these three tracks for sale...maybe more. tracks are al in great condition.

Bombi 504151943
Camo 9940M
Camo 9920M

Rear skids...The yellow powder coated skid is off a 01 Highmark X. The one below it is a 151" skid, I believe, that came off a 03 REV Summit. Both are SC10II (???)Top one is a 136 SC10III and i have a couple of those so might part with one of them.

So I checked out those tracks:

Bombardier 504151943 15" X 151" X 2" 51.3 lbs 2.52" Pitch
Camoplast 9940M 16" X 151" X 2.313" 60.5 lbs 2.52" Pitch
Camoplast 9920M 16" X 159" X 2" ~63.0 lbs 2.52" Pitch

Any experience with a 2" or 2.313" in an F or S chassis? Will I be able to run these with an 8 or 9 tooth driver?
