My dad bought an 06 Mach z 1000 with 328 miles at the end of this season. Mint. Great deal. Dealer updated the fuel pump a few years back. Knowing that these are prone to blowing my question is what can I do to prevent it. I have herd about adding a fuel pressure gauge and moving the fuel pump to eliminate vibrations. Also herd about these filters that you can ad inside your air box to help filter belt particles. Any pointers or opinions would be great. Thanks in advance.

Its not about what you ride, its about how you ride it.

You can have just as much fun on a 380f as you do on an 800.

The FAQ Section is full of the needed info.

Read all of it and do the maintenance.

I'd find out what the dealer 'upgraded' the pump to. If they replaced the original faulty Facet pump with another Facet pump...in the same terrible location - play it safe and buy another LP pump and re-locate it.

With that low of miles, I sure hope it was stored indoors.

Thanks for the input. It was stored indoors. The dealer that the previous owner had it serviced at keeps very good records so I will be looking into that. Thanks again.

Ain't that the truth!!! Do the preventative maintenance and pay attention to how it's running but don't get weighed down with everyone else's "problems". I've never had more fun with any other sled.
