Just a heads up for the Wisconsin riders out there!!! But I just read that your state it trying to impose 25 mph speed limits on your frozen lakes!!! You poor, poor "edit for bad language"s!
You should really get some more info to STOP this madness! I'll try to find/post a link later?

Word has it that it was just a recommendation. The fact that many counties voted for the measure indicates that this may gain traction another year. Just remember, this is only a precursor to a 35mph off lake speed limit.

We need to stay on the look out for this to come up again the vote was close enough that it will.And we need to keep in mind that there are probably more hunters and fishermen go to these meetings than dedicated snowmobilers this comment is not directed towards hunters and fishermen either because i do all three but if snowmobilers are not present during these types of meetings the vote can go the other way real fast.

WITHOUT QUESTION WE NEED TO STAY ON THE LOOK OUT FOR THIS NEXT YEAR.

Here's a link with posts from the guy who wrote the recommendation. He's not to happy about it not passing and implies to watch out next year. I'm trying to find out how we can get these questions/recommendations in advance of the meeting to vote so we can get the word out to vote NO.

_{Yes, we need to get the word out for sure. I think I have talked with this guy and if I recall he insists it was not meant to for us, but cars and trucks who go out on the ice. He seemed like the typical crybaby who had 1 person being and idiot, so now it is time to take it out on everybody? I know when I am out I either stay away from ice fishermen or slow down anyways, but its the ones who set up directly near te trail that get me mad. Like they didn't know the trail was there before they set up?
This is most likely going to pass at some point because they argue it is about safety and let's be honest more income because you just know they will want that? Hopefully those who vote ride snowmobiles???}

There is a little article on this in the ILL snowmobiler magazine i just recieved havent seen the WI one yet but i have a feeling there will be something in it also,,so i am shure like i said before this is not over yet.

Please let us know if you hear/read anything on any meetings. The problem will be if they only hear from those who are complaining and not anything or very little from those of us who would be against the speed limit like they are proposing, then it gets through. The question is, who do we contact or how do we let our issue with this get heard?

It wasn't brought up during the annual meeting. Doesn't mean it wasn't discussed in some forum but we didn't hear anybody
