I have run my Garvin and Magellan on it and use it to charge my phone. Only issue it shakes out! Get a really good plug from Best Buy and run the USB cable it works like a charm

what unit are you looking at? Either way, make sure your acc plug is DC not AC. A volt meter will tell you very quickly without frying a new GPS

I bought the Ski doo cig lighter attachment, then bought from Verizon wireless a device that plugs into that and gives you 2 USB ports, one charges my phone and the other was intended for GPS. to be honest ive never needed it for GPS. I also bought the heated riser bag for my phone and just shoot the cable into that. works pretty nice. the doo unit as stated shuts off with engine but id you wire directly to battery it wont. Very dangerous IMO as if you forget to unplug somthing on Sled your screwed with 4 tec and Etec.
One thing I have not figured out yet is when you plug in USB to GArmin it thinks its a PC and goes into USB mode, screen shuts off, I called Garmin and they gave me a fix that didnt work and I have yet to follow up

FYI you Can make your own acc relay. That goes on/off with The gauge. The purble wire Can be used to a relay. Then you just need a new fuse for what i need it for. Posted Image
But dont use that clamp on stuff. It is Best to solder. This is just a pic i found. I use it for my Oil return pump from my turbo and for my extra gauges.
