Yesterday there were still a couple of trails way up north showing as limited but today, the first day of spring, it's showing all trails as closed (or unreported in a few spots). I'm usually hesitant about the accuracy of the OFSC interactive map but since it's sunny and pushing 20ºC this week, I'm sort of inclined to believe it this time.

yes i had 2 days booked off work in case it still looked good this weekend around kap , but with the forecast 17 and rain the 22 hrs of driving just looked like too much of a gamble . funny how my last thought before going to sleep saturday / sunday were , " i am missing a last ride -should have gone". Brutus , nice meeting you , your pops and the gang on the dootalk ride -hoping to repeat again next year . Anyone know if Kirk has applied for Canadian citizenship yet ? ha ha.

I was just out at lunch and had a mosquito come to visit me. Okay, Mother Nature, I get it...quit rubbing it in already!

Oh God not bug season already. It was great meeting you too. It was nice to finally put faces to the names for sure! Hopefully next year will be better conditions giving us more options for riding locales. This season was a short one, but I can't complain about the conditions while it lasted. Overall, the trails were in better shape than last year and even our "last ride" didn't have a whole lot of bare patches compared to other years.

.
They Say getting stuck is half the fun. Which means all my friend are having just as much fun pulling me out of the rubarb all the time.

And jer, when I checked the weather for Bancroft today I noticed a pic of a guy in shorts, no shirt, wearing a helmet being towed on a frozen slushy lake. I'd be we could get another lake ride in yet!
On other news, a friend and I are going to look at a seadoo for him tomorrow night.

My sentiments exactly! The only "bite" you have to worry about in winter is the frost kind, and that's easy enough to deal with.
My truck is covered in bug splats already. Not impressed. Usually there's a window of a few weeks where you don't have to worry about that. Not this year!

I saw that pic too. LOL Maybe Adam can get out for another rip on the ice with the lawn tractor too, eh?
I was out on a job site today with my sleeves rolled up and the construction guys were putting on sunscreen. Ri-#@%*in'-diculous!
