Well it has not been a good day. Wanted to put my sled away and fog it well the red about 5 inch tube that goes on the end of the spray fell off inside the spark plug hole from what I can tell. I went to spray then it was gone. Looked all around the sled the best that I could with a flashlight and still could see if it feel down anywhere else.
Not sure how far down it is since with style of sled you cant get a good overhead view. Anyone have any ideas without ripping the whole sled apart???

Take a stick magnet for picking up dropped magnetic bolts/screws/washers/tools etc, put a big ol glob of sticky grease on the end/sides and fish around. Could also reverse some tape on the magnet end & sides and try to stick to it.
Could pull the exhaust & y-pipe off too, but you may end up bleeding in the process.

Pulling the plugs and trying to pull it over with the kill switch off might be an idea

Borrow, rent or buy a borescope. Ebay has lots, you get what you pay for. Your dealer should have one.
Or drain some coolant and pull the head.
Will trade any of my 2012 Gold parts for 2013 Orange parts.

^^ Agreed go rent/buy/borrow a bore scope and look in the jugs and see if its there. Once you know for sure you can go from there. I would do tape first for the easy fix hopefully then just pull the head if it doesn't work.

Crazy thought, but would a shop vac be able to pull it up and out? You are just talking about the little coffee straw looking thing right? Might work, would be really sweet if it did.

Ya basicly the size of the stir stick you use to stir coffee... Probably even a little smaller in diameter. I read about the vacuum idea but heard that could be bad because of gas fumes and possible spark? And dont have a shop vac on hand right now.
Might go try the stick idea with tape. I have a telescopic magnet but the end is to big to go down the hole.
They just dont get you much room on these sleds.
Oh and the idea about pulling it over slowly I thought of that too because it could bring it up a bit higher I was thinking? But then that could also put it down deeper.

Pull the pipe off,look in with a flashlight and if you see it turn piston to bottom and remove it. Tom

What position was the piston in when you were spraying. If it was all the way down then the straw would be long enough to fall all the way inside. If it was up then the straw could not have fallen inside. I also don't think the straw could fit between the piston and the cylinder wall so it would have to still be inside the cylinder and you would have to be able to see it.
Shine some light down the cylinder and try using a dental mirror to see if you can see the red straw.

Good point on the fumes. I have heard of folks blowing up vacuums by sucking up actual gas, I didn't think it would happen with just what is left in the cylinders, but maybe a bad idea after all.

If you're worried about it, just pull the head, takes 10-15 minutes. Or just run it and it will take care of itself.
