Yeah, it looked nice. Not enough to make me buy a '13 over a '12 if I found one though.

Looks like this weekend is a bust(sno-fest) We had plans to go but conditions are horrible.. Looking at the old forge web cams is depressing.. Ugh.. Glad we went up there the last couple of weekends.. Oh well.. This whole winter just sucked.. Hope next year will be better..

it's not much but they got 2 inches last night and suppose to get some more tonight. so it at least looks better but 2 inches won't do anything.

It was pretty darn fun. Trails were better than I expected. Only a couple bare spots, but very slushy when we got back to the trailer at 12:00.
Rode 3 different sleds, and know what I want next.
First was the 1200 renegade, nice and smooth, but didn't like the long track.
Next was the 800etec XRS. That sled turns everyone into a hooligan! Liked the pull of that better than the 1200, and the lightness of the front end. Was very sensitive and lifted skis in the corner. Most fun sled, but still think they have some engine vibrations.
Next was the 1200 TNT. Like the smoothness of the engine, and liked the short track. Definitely my favorite one, just didn't have the horsepower rush of the 800.
Got back on the XRS again and had fun. I was very impressed w/ the rmotion.
All in all, a great time to demo different sleds and get enough real trail time.

So what one are you ordering?

One thing on the 1200 is the smoothness masks some of the speed. They're sneaky fast. Not 800Etec fast, but 800 Carb'ed fast.

The XP is the most fun sled ever made - but I like my XR more.

keep thinking about the 1200 but cant get past the weight difference. I realy need to spend a little time on one before i bought one. Not just a demo ride. I do hear alot of good things about them from people who have them. Power wise I have a 600 SDI and it is enought for me.

I wish I could afford to order the 1200 TNT or "X"!
Realistically though I may have to buy a $4000 Mach Z for next year, then get a '10 or '11 the year after.

From a post on trail conditions.com Skidoo says they are "done" with demo rides unless 6" more snow falls. FYI.

I was on the ride with ivsnowluvr and got a decent amount of seat time on the 1200 Renegade. I have to admit, I liked it a heck of a lot more than I thought I would. I still like my 2-strokes, but I don't think I'd be disappointed with the 1200 if I had one.
Once I thought I was wrong........but I was mistaken....

I spent most of my money on beer and snowmobiling.....I wasted the rest

They are riding at the demo event. Just got back. Skidoo, Arctic Cat, and Yamaha are doing demos. Love the looks of the new 2013 Summit X.

I know where there is a leftover 1200 TNT for around $8300. Something to think about...

I just got back from the demos. Had a great time. Short wait to ride and trails were actually very good considering this season. I don't like the new xs at all. When compared to the xp it looks cheap and weird. I did like the glove box and how much better shaped it is for riding purposes.
The chassis is the same but looks stronger. The outer lip on the running boards is very large like the xrs, the plastic left foot piece is now metal and both running board foot hold supports and much stronger then before. The upper a-arms is totally different, the new cvt clutch cover is on the all, led taillight and new snowflap, new gauge looks, glove box and plastics. Overall nice sled. I'm going to have to get used to the looks though becuase I ordered an x package and it was my only choice.
