carbs clean, could be Y pipe. I noticed it after about 50 miles a riding, I cleaned the reeds last fall when I put it away but if i were to guess it probably is something with my boots or reeds from messing with them.

Has nothing to do with the y pipe and sdis dont have carbs hate to say. Check the reed boots real good and double check throttle cable adjustment sled has a throttle position sensor the throttle plates could be a little to far open from the throttle cable being too tight.

on the throttle bodies you will see the throttle cable goes into a bracket there is two nuts on the cable one is used as your adjustment and the other as the lock nut. Make sure the cable has freeplay and isn't too tight holding the throttle plates open a little, you should have a little play in your throttle before the blades of the throttle body open. Just a simple thing to check also make sure the throttle body and blades are clean that they arent getting held up from being dirty. If this stuff seems alright check your reeds make sure there not delaminated.

You said you checked your boots.Did you physically remove them from the cyclinders. They must be removed to be able to really check them out.

I still can not fix my hanging idle the things I have done are boysen rage cage, check Y pipe or cracks and replaced Y pipe gaskets, cleaned rav valve and replace gaskets, checked throttle cable for binding, checked throttle bodies. Everything seems fine. Could it be something with my clutches or anything els I'm looking over? Run good beside the hanging idle.

If its my TPS how would I know, just bring it to the dealer and let them rob me blind?
I gotta do something I can't figure this out. I've eliminated everything I can find on threads with hanging idle on SDI.

Could somebody tell me how the TPS works and why it get messed up?

Try lowering your idle. I had the same problem and just fixed it today by lowering my idle from 2100 to 1700. I never thought it would be that simple but it was.

I tried that the last time I went out, dint fix it for me, I don't know what els to do, if I'm above 5k it will fall until it gets around 4300 to 5000 it will hang for a while when coming to a stop, I've tried to hit the kill switch and turning it back on that dosnt seem to help, I've tried to give it gas to get it to come down that dosnt help, dose this sound like a TPS problem?
