Haha, it was a thing of beauty. Luckily a couple of good Samaritans riding out of bosebuck came by and helped me out of that great hole. Did the ole patented skidoo role the sled over and out of the stuck and I was on my way. Thanks again to the 2 fellow skidoo riders who helped, whoever they may be!!!

where the hell was that stuck? didn't even see you get stuck. was it those 2 guys on gades?

Towards the end of the ride for me. You and rob turned and headed up a hill, the group stopped and I headed straight. Came to a point and figured I should turn around, pointed the sled thru the trees and went 3 feet and that was it. Yes, those 2 guys on the gade's came by and helped me. Although i had already shoveled a trench next to the sled they did help me then role it over so I could ride back out of my great hole to china! It was my stupidity, I should have kept going to find a better spot to turn around instead of where I did.

Wicked nice one Brev. That was worth the photo opp. Almost looks like you had an excavater to make that trench. Sweeeeet!

After all this summit talk Want to hear something ironic? Maybe it was fate. . After possibly the best day of riding Mattyboy and I have had in a while, a day where we were hitting old logging cuts and climbs without seeing a single rock, stump, or whip I hit the top of a boulder literally as I hit the logging road to go home. Sled is TOTALED. The fact that we had talked about making the switch to a summit literally the week before is now reality. Insurance check is in the works and I have some decisions to make. It sucks because the season is now over for me offtrail wise. I will be tearing up the trails on my brothers tnt the rest of the year cause he is in school and plays ball. Now i am at the cross roads. I am no doubt going summit, however the question is 146 or 154. To be honest i think the 146 SP will be the sled just for the fact that it comes with the S-36 package( and price ofcourse as the wife is not to thrilled with me right now :headbang .) I am concerend about this new T motion set up...I have alot of research to do in the next week.......

Justin want to go in together ? im sure they will cut us a deal !!!!

The absolute #1 threat to snowmobilers world wide, the dreaded wife!!!! That sucks about your sled man. But at least you were smart enough to have insurance, unlike the idiot I am!!! Take comfort in the fact that last weekend might have been the last truly good weekend we have this year. Yes, plenty of riding left but I'm takin grade A, primo, no talkie talkie with the wifey for a week type of riding!! That rock monster was fate. Question, was the rock approx 146" long?!?!?! I'm definitely ordering so lets keep in touch about it. We got a little bit of time before the deadline. I know of another human in my camp ordering a summit too so we'll have to try and pull this together. I'll be in touch.

that sux and congrats all at the same time, i think. just read as many reviews on the new summit as possible, unfortunatly doo would not allow blydoo and i the opportunity to ride the new summit at the snodeo, so all we have to go by is what others say and i hear conflicting reviews. its getting to expensive to make a mistake on what you buy and then try and live with it. i guess i lucked out with the rmk this year, i wasn't so lucky with the bcx in some respect.

I have been looking at the summit threads the last few days and have read the goods, but would love to hear the bad, and the uglies. In thoery the sled should be great. What negatives have you heard ? First year purchase of the etch 800 got me a piston recall. What will the tmotion bring? Nordic mike I have half of the s 36 if your interested !,!!!

one guy from maine posted about its abilities on trail and one guy simply said, not for trail use at all. i have heard that guys had to hold on for dear life while ridding through bumps. again, what do we really have to go by? we can't demo the darn thing so all we can go by is what others say. my idea of squirly through whoops may not be yours, or the next guys and so on. the only thing i was able to do was sit on it and you can feel the side to side movement in the suspension. i too got the etec recall, but other than that, no issues that cost me any riding time, same goes for my rmk. i was talking with chris today about how not one of the 4 mfg's brought thier mountain sled to ride. polaris didn't even have an rmk on display, cat only had the 1100t 163, doo did have the new summit. were you able to go see the new sled? i feel it such a hard decision to try the first year of something this "radical", you just never know. my buddys dad bought the 1100t xf cat this year and its had issue after issue. the 2013 version addressed the issues, or at least the ones you can see. i guess its the risk we take, i worry all the time about this "edit for bad language" poo motor.

another thing i just thought of, do you like to sit down at all when you ride? that seat looks a bit minimalist at best, but i didn't even sit on it and i'm not sure why. the storage is pretty funny though, you can fit a bottle of water in it i think, it may have to be one of those aqua pods for the kids though. and yes i know, my rmk doesn't have any, but at least they didn't even try.

who is that on the assault?
