Along with the Twin Air filter (you could go with a Uni filter too - same price) I would also add the Skinz pre-filter (goes over the foam filter) if you plan on running in any dusty conditions. MAKE SURE YOU OIL THE FILTER PROPERLY AND CLEAN IT FREQUENTLY. Or find one of your wifes old nylons (maybe yours - not to judge) and put a section over the intake with some zip ties. There are 2 issues with the King Quads - 1 being that the have a very open intake, so a lot of dust gets up in there (bud had to rebuild his after 400 miles even with a Foam filter) and 2, they eat batteries for some reason. Seems like they have a constant ghost draw on the battery - even plagues some of their bikes (DRZ400). I would invest in a good trickle charger and plug it in when not in use for long periods of time.

Other than that - its a great quad. Wish I would have listen to my gut and bought the KQ instead of my Cat 700 (shares the same motor as the KQ700) But my next quad WILL be the Rene 800 for myself and 500 for da wife

Good luck and have fun with it

That renegage 800 is two scoops of awesome. My cuz just bought two and he allowed me to ride one in Luther MI. I think it could replace viagra.

2500 lb. warn. Should get you out of most situations. When I had my 450, I thought that I could make my way across a field that had a few feet of water overflowed from a nearby pond and creek. All the weeds and tall grass wrapped around my axles and wouldn't let me go too far. luckily There were enough trees around to winch me out the other end. I've even used it with a pulley in the top of my garage to hoist deer!

I considered the can am 800R, but I don't really trail ride with it and I don't really have any friends to ride with hence I don't really need to show off and it would just be overkill. Maybe if I was 10 years younger I would have went with the can am. Now that I am older and wiser, I went with what would work best for me. Price and options......this is hands down the best quad IMO.

not to mention...I have a full 3 year bumper to bumper warranty with absolutely no deductible! That played into my decision as well.

Thats what I have on mine too - plenty of pulling power. I have used it for everything but pulling my quad out of the mud - mainly workin the plow - but it is definitely something you have to have on a ute quad

The only thing that the Can Am is going to have over your quad is the V twin = more torque. And like you said, its a little overkill. You will be VERY happy with your quad.I love how the KQ's handle - very sporty feeling - not some lumber wagon like my Cat

not to mention...I have a full 3 year bumper to bumper warranty with absolutely no deductible! That played into my decision as well.

:righton You might need it for that battery issue - I know my friend did. They still havent figured it out - some have some dont - hope yours is one of the lucky ones. I have 3 friends that have them and two of them have had the issue. Nothing like peace of mind with a nice warranty

I can't decide whether I want another quad or a UTV. If I got a quad I would have to get something like yours more utility but still fun. The 800r is fun but for 9Gs I mind as well spend some more and get the commander. My winch isn't even attached to anything any more. I use it on my tractor sometimes, sometimes I hook it in the raftors to lift something up in the garage. I like the dear idea. Now you have something to ride out to your blind, drive to the dear, take the dear home, then hoist it. Do they make a chopping block attachment? You could process it on your quad too!

I've been pretty disappointed in this winter and have absolutely NO trail time on the sled this season. I just got this home. 2012 suzuki king quad 750 AXI with power steering! Feels like 3 times the quad coming from my 2005 yamaha kodiak 450!! This should help get rid of the nervous twitch this winter has given me!

Noice ride. Suppose you had to spend some money this season. How's Wisconsin treating you so far?

Really liking Wisconsin so far. Just miss the nights out with the buddies. I guess I would have spent this money snowmobiling anyways. Just not all at one time.

I almost thought you were talking about riding your wheeler to the local pick-up joint 'till I got to the "chopping-block" part :P
