I bought a set of front shocks from brp, cost was over $500, got 2 rides and blew the oil out of one of them. Brought them back and was told no warrenty because i installed them myself??? 2 bolts to install, called brp twice and got the same story "cant do anything for ya"? Sure you can, replace my shock.

Sent them out to shock-tec and almost $200 later got them back, was told there was pitting in the shaft and caused all the oil to leak out, was also told this was not done by me, and most likely done during shipping as brp are to cheap to wrap anything they ship.

After all the $$$ i spent over the years i would like to see brp just believe the customer and watch there dealerships a little closer because my dealer wouldnt "edit for bad language" on you if you were on fire. Next dealer is 700 km away and speak french so i have no option but to buy from this edit for bad language.

Stuff i would like to see in the summits xs being an x package is separate hand and thumb warmer with the 10 different settings on each but leave them on the console like the zx chassis a engine and outside temp gauge compass and clock standard. Quick disconnect standard. Floating secondary standard. And the stearing past forward like the race sleds. This is what i would of liked to see on my 2012 summit x though love the track and seat and the way it rides. the new heated box and seat storage bag and the inside rear wheel kit is great looking on the 13 can't wait to see the reviews on thoughs.

I don't read blog, twitter,facebook at all

You want better comunication take care of loyal customers (repeat customers) directly, first.

Call them, hold town hall meetings, have "test rides" that they can get to (I have purchased 8 summits, and there are no test rides available in Alaska - I asked

I have only been able to test drive Cats in Alaska.Heck,I ended up buying 3 of the fan 570s(6400 each) for the rug rats just b/c I'm not in the "click" at the doo stealership.I'm in the market for a new Skandic. But,the seats don't open for storage(epic fail)A nice 800 would be good but I bought the last reliable model back in 05.I am smarter then being dealer dependent with the losers that I would have to talk to at the stealership

If you are still married to your first wife....You aren't riding hard enough.

I want to thank you for making and effort and reaching out to us, dootalkers, and offering these programs such as the Gear Testing. I'm honored to have been chosen. It says says allot for BRP.

I would like to see a screening process/ qualifications for BRP dealerships. It’s funny how the internet (dootalk, Can-am talk) is full of people experiencing the same issues, yet most dealers have never heard or seen any of these issues??? How about bringing my can-am in to the dealer 3 times ($50 co-pay under warranty) only for them to never fix the problem I diagnosed....Just so they can say me, the guy with the engineering degree and every other idiot on the chat forms doesn't know s***, but were still unable to fix your issue at this time. Thanks, my wheeler is still ****** up b/c I refuse to spend the unrealistic price of new electronics.

How about a one month wait time in December for my 800R motor to be rebuilt under warranty b/c no parts are available??? No dealer around can get the parts? Or so I was told. Thanks to Wallingford Equ. In Auburn Maine who was able to get this done in 2 weeks after I called BRP direct...Parts showed up two days later.

I would like to see an affordable tool that will allow the consumer to diagnose our own sleds. I’m not saying release the full version of the software, but something that can tell me what’s going on inside that computer without paying $85 to clear a knock sensor CEL.

And last...Just Please end the contract with Westport Motorsports of Westbrook Maine, let them be daddy's little spoiled pricks selling Polaris and let someone new come into the area who cares. They were very clear that they did not care about the gear testing program, they were very clear they did not care about Dootalk, and they were very clear they did not want me trying on different helmets and sizes to support the gear testing program without the intention of buying one....but did say if I had bought my sled from them they would consider it. (I'll never go back, which is too bad b/c its right by my new job)

Does anyone else find it strange or is it just me? If you scrole allllll the way to the bottom of the page you see whos looking at the page and Ive been watching this forum since day one and not ONCE have I seen BRP show their face back here since they posted "OH We want your ideas". I think their up to it again and all these post, all which are true and hit the nail straight on the head, are a waste of our time and falling on deaf ears. JMO and my.02. I saw the new sleds last night. I'm not impressed. Looks like the same song and dance act to me aside from the Tmotion, which I agree is cool, but whats going to be wrong with that set up after WE (the consumer) are done testing it. Just sayin.

Brp thanks for listening! Riding and maintenance and maybe a break-in video clip would be good, but slightly off topic a good sled to get some of the early doo owners who have been out of the market for a while and attract new ones or as a second sled would be, a compact sled, very light weight , small lightweight twin 294 cc e-tec short 114 inch track or even a 106 inch sport track as was used on the original citations. it could be called an elan ss or maybe a tn't 294 "silver bullet. I would welcome a chance to test any prototype or give my suggestions in developing such a model. Have been driving solo since grade 2 in the marshes of Surrey, now part of Hillsborough. Albert County New Brunswick.

fix the rpm issue in my brand new 13k sled. this weekend it ran good. two weeks ago i couldnt get it over 7600.
and maybe a touch stiffer set up in the x, i bottomed mine out a couple times and i dont think it should have done it. i like how it rides soft and soaks up the bumps but maybe a tad stiffer would be nice

There are a lot of great ideas in here. Thanks for your feedback.

First, just because we don't participate and post directly doesn't mean we're not listening. We have several people in the company who browse the DooTalk forums regularly. We're looking for your issues and ideas all the time.

Second, what about COMMUNICATIONS ideas? Like blog posts, YouTube videos and Facebook posts? What would you liek to see there?

what about complaints, 800 e-tec rpm and power loss, i paid a hell of alot of . money for 163.9hp all of the time, over the 155hp p-tec. what i got was a power loseing piece of junk. BEWARE FUTURE BYERS OF THE E-TECS, YOUR NOT GETTING WHAT YOU PAIDED FOR.

I have been a loyal BRP guys for over 25 years and usually buy a new sled every 2 years. I have had lemons and I have had bullet proof models. This 2012 800 etec is just sooo frustrating because everyone knows that some of these sleds are having RPM issues and are getting passed by 600 etec's. BRP, why don't you have a fix for this?? It's embarasing to get on the lake and be passed by a non-etec because of a huge drop in RPM. Anyway, I just wish someone from BRP would at least acknowledge the fact that there is a problem with my sled and try to fix it. Dealer says that I have to live with it until BRP comes out with a fix. NOT GOOD ENOUGH>

Just rebuilt my primary clutch on 2010 1200 Expedition. Caught it just in time before it detonated. 3700 easy miles. I would like a new replacement clutch (2013 primary clutch for 1200 4-tec) at a greatly discounted price. Many people have had problems with there clutches on 1200 4-tec motors. Skidoo should step up to the plate and replace these tra clutches.

Good luck with that!! While they're at it, they might as well replace the belt, shocks and track because they are starting to wear out.

By the way, that last sentence in the op wasn't there until there were several pages of replies. Pretty sure that was added later, so not everyone went back to reread it.

You're right, it wasn't, but the post was called "Tell us you want to see on our blog, Facebook pages, and right here" and the explanation of the reason for the post was pretty clear.

I enjoy reading posts like there ones though, the comments from everyone telling BRP how they should build sleds is humorous.

Why is it humorous, considering we spend 10 to 12 thousand on a sled and see things that can be done better?
