If You Could Go Riding With Anyone At All...

Back then, we would take some hot dogs, etc along with us and just pull over somewhere, find some wood and start a fire, roast some hot dogs and have a grand time. I had a brother 2 years older than me and my Dad brought home a 1968 Fox Trac for us one day. We rode it constantly that winter. I was 12 years old at the time.
Our whole family rides pretty hard, but when I was in my late 20's and my Dad was about 50 years old, I still couldn't stay with him. It was very frustrating to have your Dad (who was OLD...at least he seemed old to me when I was in my 20's) run away from you.
A few years before he got cancer, he fell through a skylight in his shed (about 25 feet) and landed on his rear end on the floor. Basically, his pelvis exploded. They didn't know if he would even be able to walk again. He regained his ability to walk, but he only rode sled with us a few times after that and he couldn't ride hard any more. I don't think it was fun for him to ride if he had to ride like a "Grandpa".
The sled he bought us back in 1968 looked like this...

If we had snow, we could make that happen. LOL
Seriously, thanks. That is very flattering.
In all honesty, I would like to ride with my dad. He passed 9 days after my wife and I got married.
He never rode snowmobiles, but just to spend a weekend with him would be my dream.
I was kind of a screwup when I was younger, and didn't really become responsible until later in life. I would like him to see what a great influence Sheila (my wife) has been on me.

That's easy go to the dootalk ride. Definitely a cool Guy. I would like to ride with anyone that is willing to show me around in the mountains. I really want to make Irondog's version of the freeride. After this crappy season i need some steep and deep!
