If you look at my post above i included photos of the unifilters they gave me the first time which were the wrong ones. ( photo on left ) a up-4245.Royal Distributing just told me there never head of a 4245s pod. Glad I called before I drove there
Anyone else bought these from Royal?
Left photo
"pod filter" - fine foam to trap dirt, up-4245. (dirt bike use)
Right photo
"Snow pod", visibly different, courser foam, up-4245"s"
They told me I could use these pod filters on mach. I said i need the snow pods. They said they were and sold them before. I was skeptical after what I researched, too their word for it, but took them anyway.
The problems fall on their "sku" system and labeling of those particular parts. They must have input it wrong cause they have no clue
Unless you know the obvious differences between the two pods and ignore their comments that they r all the same and I don't matter .......... U will get frustrated and leave with the wrong ones.
I got home and sure enough.......they were the wrong ones
I ordered the correct up-4245 "s" from the united states and they arrived in 4 days. I took photos for comparison for this forum back in October.
I then went back to royal distributing and asked for their snow pods up-4245"s" and again they brought me the wrong ones.
F!?k. That's when I pulled out my new uni snow pods up-4145"s" from the U.S. and the ones i was returning up-4245 (dirt bike pods).
They got educated on the obvious visible differences between the two aside from the fact that one actually reads "snow pod" on it!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was nice and the guy actually didn't know there was a difference aside from what it says on the labeling. Hopefully he told his staff.
Long story short, my buddy went 3 weeks later and they actually had the proper "snow pods" in stock for his 1000 sdi along with the regular 4245.
I know they have a lot of product there and are generally helpful but I know more than one guy that got aggravated from a parts guy that's new and had no clue.
My 2 cents
