Just got back from a great weekend riding near Tug Hill. Great for lots of reasons, not the least of which is because we stayed away from the mayhem on the hill Saturday, chose to ride some nice trails south of the hill and had a great time. Problem we need help with is my bud bought an 08 800r end of last season. This was the first real riding he did with it. It has a different head on it, and had a can on it. He rode fields late last season and it ran fine with the can. The first thing we did this season was replace the can with the stock exhaust. Problem is that whenever he went over 6000 rpms this weekend, the knock sensor would come on, and it'd go into limp mode. As long as he was under 6000 rpms, everything was perfect. We're thinking that with the other head, no idea what it is, that it's pulling more fuel and can't get the exhaust out quick enough with the stock on there. Does that make sense? Any ideas? Thanks for the help...
