started snowing at 7 am this morning and its still lightly snowing we got around 3 to 4 inches depending on where you are, some places away from the wind got close to 5 inches , people are riding, its all ice underneath, unfortunately i have to go back out and plow, at times it was a whiteout and we have an additional 2 to 3 inches coming tomorrow

Any updates? May have to load up and head that way in the am.
Thanks for the report binskiman.

i rode today, trails are icey but in decent shape, if we get the thursday storm thats predicted they will be perfect , we put 60 miles on today just messing around , made it to elbow lake for lunch and then a few loops, had a good time , when they say were only getting 2 to 3 inches we know to expect alot more , maybe up to 6 inches , the last storm we got 5 inches and they were saying no accumulation at all , same last night no accumulation expected , we got an inch

Can anyone share the condition of the ice on Houghton lake, or even lakes a little bit south of there? I am heading to West Branch this weekend, and am just wanting a guesstimate of what I should expect of lakes in and around West Branch... Actually, the lake I'll be on is much much smaller than Houghton Lake.

we got 3 to 5 inches of heavy wet snow last night and this morning ,its 34 degrees out and alot of snow has melted , but our trails are in excellent shape, snow didnt melt out there as bad as it did in the parking lots and sides of the road where they salted . trailer out and ride !

How is the snow on the lake currently? Do you think by Saturday there would still be enough snow to ride on it?
