Would like to know how many miles you have on your 600etec and how many miles before I need to do some motor work?
Thanks

We have two of them. 7,000mi. each. Compression in the low 140's in every cylinder (checked at 6,000mi.) New plugs at 6,000mi. and Raves cleaned. No issues YET

Just because someone makes their sled loud doesn't mean trails are closing. I can make my sled as loud as i want to. I'm half tempted to run the loudest set of pipes I can just to irritate people

Another member here lost a locating pin at around 4,000 mi. and then the other one 275mi. later. It's a crapshoot

Just over 10,000 miles. New engine at 2,900. It seems to be running strong and engine checks out fine, but I'm a little nervous for this year. I hope she makes it.

With the locating pin problems and recall on the 800-etec, it begs the question if the 600 has the same pins. Probably does, but less stress on them so they will last longer. We plan to put on about 2,000mi. this winter so our etecs would then have 9,000mi. each. I think this will be their last season, I will be thrilled if they make it. I think thumbdoctor posted that the isoflex is suppossed to be good for almost 10,000mi.

Mine has over 8800 miles on it. The last trip out last season, was not good. Sensor and ECM went. It was not a cheap fix :angry2: We will see how it works this year.

My wife rides a GSX limited as well. She absolutely LOVES her sled. I've ridden it and it's a great trail sled. I tend to bottom out the suspension on rollers and big bumps with it though. I don't know if maxing out the spring tension would prevent that or not. When the trails are smooth, I'd rather be on her GSX than my TNT

Locating pin went on mine at 4000, replaced both pistons oem and used Trystad chrome rings when it was rebuilt.
