Before you leave the store with your new one check to make sure the red light works too. Take 2 AA batteries with you and try it.

Are you sure it broke, the face piece breaks down into a bunch of pieces. Ive beat up mine pretty good in the last 6 years and cant visualize where you could have broken it, can you provide a pic?

I do not know how to install a picture I will try to describe it. The plastic clip on the bottom of the( Breathing Mask Support) that connect to the helmet broke. I took it off to adjust the breathing mask when I try to reinstall it the plastic clip broke. The helmet is brand new but it was on the shelf the dealer but it box when I said I'll take one. Who knows how many times it was taking off and on. As i see it only the Mask Support needs to be replace. I hope I explained it well enough if not maybe my daughter can show a picture.

I think he's referring to the 3 clips on the grey mouth piece that snap to that chinsy dowel on the helmet

Your correct!!

Knock on wood but never broke mine. If its really cold outside I don't even attempt to remove it. I get nervous just trying to snap it on. Bring it back I'm sure they will warranty it.
Good luck

The newer helmets must have weaker plastic or poor tolerance on the jaw piece. I have one of the first units, no problem with jaw piece. Buy new helment last year, and keep the old scratched one. Jaw breaks on new one, dealer warranties it after explaining how my wife & I have each had a Bv2s for 6 years. Replacent jaw breaks, use old helment jaw for rest of last season. I now have a new jaw ( at my cost, from a different dealer, six months later ) hope it is from a better batch.

Once you put the batteries in once, it's easier the next time. However, the switch to shut off the light was broken in mine last year. The light was on from Christmas Day till end of March!! You won't believe how little power that LED light uses. And PS. Get your wife to do it, women have smaller hands a are a little better at this 'picky' job.
