As requested, here they are! I simply used some aluminum (1/8" I believe) and some angled aluminum for the edges. Cost me between $50-$75 Canadian.

I started by cutting off the roll on the edge of the boards, then drilled out all the rivets attaching the boards to the support brackets underneath them. I also drilled out the 3 rivets that holds the foot-well piece to the running board on each side. I got rid of the factory grip "bumps" with the drill as well. I then cut my sheet of aluminum so that I had 2 strips that were 6.5" wide and long enough to reach the end of my tunnel (can't remember the exact measurement at the moment). On both I cut the angle about 10" from the end of the board. I then slid the aluminum under the foot-well piece, drilled holes where the existing stock ones were and riveted it in place. To finished it off I riveted the angle aluminum on as edge pieces, and for a little support. That's as far as I've gotten so far. To finish up the project I'll be putting some ROX grips on and making some holes for snow removal.

Only issues so far are a couple rivets starting to fail, but that's what you get when you use Mastercraft rivets from Crappy Tire!

I'll put up new pictures when I completely finish them, but that won't be for about a month because of work.

Absolutely not!! I have tried and tried, every single time I get my Summit pointed down the trail it veers off left or right through the trees, up the mountain, over the top, down the other side, not to be seen again for hours on end.....lol. I just love that problem.

Hey Blecter, are you missing a bolt in your suspension? On the upper idler wheels? Maybe its just the pictures, but bump for a nice write up!

Nope, in this case it's just the lighting. I went out and took a look anyways, because recently bolts have been falling out :o haha.

And thanks!

Jigsaw :D killed a few blades!

Buffy, that's the plan in about 3 weeks when I'm able to work on it again. That and grip. Would have done it a long time back, but work has kept me away from my sled up until this last week.

Busted! :headbang

I did get a lot of work done in December, but finishing these never happened. Ate up my parts budget by buying XP parts for next summer's build  I'll be ordering some grip stuff in a couple days, then next week when I am where my sled is I'll start finishing them off and get fresh pictures up before work takes me away in February. With any luck I'll also get my first ride in for the year on the weekend of Jan 14/15.

Buy the good rivets from a fastenal place. Get the aluminum rivets with the steel shanks.
