It does have tunnel protectors, not sure of the bulkhead ones, I'll have a look. So your saying just put in the protectors and forget about that god awful sound? That's why they make bulkhead and tunnel protectors. On the CK-3 chassi its a must.

Let's face it...most of the stuff in the lounge is useless banter by the same ten or so people.

Had to tighten it up more than what I thought was tight. Figured it had to be streched. When on the stand it would still balloon like crazy.
And if its not that. Probably a stud that is almost torn out, or busted backer. Flip the sled on its side and try wiggling all your studs.

Here are some thoughts
1 inch should clear fine, can you see how much clearance you have from the stud tip to the bulkhead the bottom of the bulkhead where you can see it. Should be about 1/4 inch if you are out 1 inch. If good there the track is ballooning too much due to either an old crappy track or tension adjustment, check the upper boggie wheels if those are really worn (too small) the track won't have enough tension to stop ballooning. This happened to me on my 99'. For some reason one upper boggie was totally worn while the other one good. The studs would hit the bulkhead.

Not chewing up my Millennium dude, she's my baby!!, I looked and its hitting the tunnel protectors which seem abnormally tall....., not a scratch in that tunnel .... This thing is showroom and I ain't kidding, not even an oxidized bolt to be found... so no worries, shes well looked afterI never had a problem with my 98 with stock track and studs. Didn't have bulkhead protectors either. How tall are your studs? Chewing up a nice Millennium.

It has really tall tunnel protectors, and they slide back and forth in the groove. Plus they are in like three pieces all shuffling back and forth. Shouldn't they be one piece and maybe put a dab of silicone on them to stop them from vibrating and sliding back and forth? I'm gonna try to put full length one piece ones in ......Does it have the tall tunnel protectors or just the stock ones?

Yep, should be one piece cut to the right length so when the end of the heat exchanger is pinched closed it captures them securely. It has really tall tunnel protectors, and they slide back and forth in the groove. Is there two different heights of protectors? It looks like mine were actually cut into three pieces to install them?Yep, should be one piece cut to the right length so when the end of the heat exchanger is pinched closed it captures them securely.
