Greetings from the President of the Interstate SnoGoers of Fryeburg, Maine. Our club is responsible for approx. 75 miles of trails in our area which consist of a variety of terrains like wide open fields, old roads, and a few wooded sections (twisties). We have three large groomers and three small sleds (Skandics) that we use to maintain the trails. We have a Poker Rally coming up in Febuary. Trails today were pretty flat and fast, aka good but they are getting thin. Starting to see some dirt mixed in with the snow in sections. hopefully we get the snow they are predicting this week or we will be limited to where we can groom and/or ride. Let's pray for snow!!!

Well we had only sixty five sleds participate in our club's rally. Not sure yet if we made any money at all. 
Lots of older sleds out there. Probably due to the fact newer sleds are so dang expensive. Dealers are selling only parts for older sleds. All their new sleds are still sitting there collecting dust. Not good.
Got about four inches of wet and heavy snow last night which will help patch up the base we have. Trails are really in great shape, finally!

Well, two more winter storms have allowed us to continue riding this season. Trails were all groomed last night and we are now getting 3-4" as I type 
. Freezing rain possible on Monday will turn all this powder into one heck of a base that will hopefully last for some time.

Hello again from the president of the Interstate Snogoers of Fryeburg Maine. We are busy getting things ready for the Fryeburg Fair. It's one of our biggest fund raisers. We doo the MSA super raffle and for the last two years we have out sold the rest of the state combined. Kinda sad actually. Once it's over, we will be hitting the trails in "hopefully" full force. Quite a bit of damage from hurricane Irene that we "volunteers" need to deal with before the trails are ready for the upcoming season.

Well, as with many clubs in our area, we were not able to have our annual Poker Rally or club ride due to lack of snow. We were just not able to get enough of our trail system groomed to the point were we could even consider sending people out for a "fun ride/experience". Too many bad spots and not enough snow to fill them in.
With that said I hope everyone had a safe season if they had one at all and please remember that whether or not we get adequate snow or not, the clubs still have to doo what's needed before and after the season. Year after year. Please doo all that you can to support them in their efforts. Thank you. M.B.

Well it's that time of year again. the trails are not going to get ready for the upcoming season all by themselves you know.

Well, cool mornings are back and hopefully things dry out enough so that we can get out there and do the necessary work in order to have our trails ready for all the snow we ARE getting this winter. Hopefully all of our bridges are still where we left them and there aren't too many blown down trees to deal with. We already have plenty to doo and as always, too few people to help get it all done.

Well, the Fryeburg area still has some snow on the ground but we are done grooming for the season. We received most of our snow near the end of the season which reallt hurt due to the warmer temperatures at night. Never really got a good base established at all. hopefully next year will be better..
