Ho y'all,
I know there are instructions in the how too's, but the pictures don't pop up...so I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of the modifications to the frames. Also, what is involved in removing the zx seat? I bought a rev seat, trunk and tail light assembly from a 2006 rev. A little different from the 03 that's in the posted how to's. If anyone has any other links to different ways of doing it, please let me know!
Thanks

I need to get the tank/seat seam finished to fit A-1, and the filler panels between seat and gas tank.
I'm wondering if I should continue the filler panel with the yellow from the seat, and also if I should paint the rear trunk base black.
Some people told me there is too much yellow in the back.
The riding position of this seat is awesome, about 2 inches higher and a little forward of the stock seat. I moved the bars up and forward accordingly, and handling is a bit more tippy if not leaning into the corner. Handling is AWESOME when you get off the seat and hang into the corner.

Tell me what you think

Thats off of an 04 500ss I didnt run a tail light last year because I had no time...I dont ride trails really anyway. to match up with the tank I had an upolstry guy add some material over the existing frame...all I did was email him a few pictures of what other guys have done and he did it up....I have some pictures of me making the frame ill upload them to photobucket and send them when I have time this weekend.

Here's a couple pics I snapped of how I cut the frames... also, rather than rivets, I used long-strand fiberglas auto-body filler to graft the two frames together...

Thanks for the pics guys. Im gonna go at it hard this week and see what I come up with. My seat is off of an 06 blizzard, so it's a little different, plus I have the 2 up seat bracket to work into it, and the tail light is alot different (Mounts to the tunnel - isn't really attached to the seat at all). I may have to trim it down a bit, or extend my tunnel a little......at least I have some time before the snow hits!! lol.

Ok....I feel like an idiot....but can some PLEASE tell me how the hell to get the old (zx) seat off?? I have the two bolts out of the trunk, I pulled the skid and dropped the track and can't see anything from underneathe holding the front of the seat. I also remove the big plastic retainer from under the gas cap and lifted that bezel up and I can't see anything. I NEED SOME GUIDANCE! LOL. <_<

lift the back of the seat up a couple inches, slide it back, don't worry, it won't break if you pull to hard, just make sure when it does slide to stop it, cause you need to undo the brake light wires.

Just pick the rear of the seat up to clear the seat bolts and pull it backwards. It slides under the tank to hold the front down. If it hasn't been off in a long time or ever, you might have to wiggle it left and right. Whiling pulling it backward. It will help walk it out from under the tank. But once it's loose, don't forget to unplug the wires for the tail/brake light.

Nevermind, I must type really slow.
