Just put a drop of Seal-All on the tank. We should know in a few days the heads up on that stuff. The package says the product was made for gas tank repairs and there is the image of a big jerry can. Curious to see how good it sticks.
If anyone needs 1998 Mach service manual... send me a pm

I personaly never heard about the seal-all stuff....maybe someone out there on doo-talk knows about it. As to the Q-bond stuff realy rings some bells to me as i Heard about it, but have no idear if that stuff would work !!! Worth to find out!! ( but beware when trying some of those stuff !! Better make sure as to put all the brooms and sticks away from reach. , otherwise you might find out the hard way that Love hurts!! Lol ) Also as i was stairing at the weather report yesterday... Saw that there were no Snow predicted for 3 to 4 months...    :sad_old:  So lots of Time Left for try outs :wink_old:  . I personaly know from expérience that some oil companies are or were using detergent aditives in their  oil...that could cause à weird reaction with the stuff used for sealing the tanks.. Used to makes weird reactions in some motors Also...so who knows !!!. But i can realy feel were getting Closer to succesfuly acheive our goal !! .  :biggrin_old:

Also ,when reinstaling back the tank.. Why not ad some self stick foam strips where the tank holds against the frame tubes and on the bottom of the tank as to avoid the shock absorbed by it while ridding....juste à thought !!.( you have inspired that one NO HAND ).lol

I have used Gorilla Tape to cover the wear points under both tanks and seat in my recent rebuilds.

Like Duck tape but it seems a bit thicker and stickier.

The verdict is in for Seal-All: it's complete garbage, doesn't stick one bit. 🙃
