Throttle cables are simple. Dive into it and have some fun. Start with searching a youtube video. A summer day and some beers= job done/money saved!

I will agree to disagree with you on this one. I have never found the split cable  on the xp 800r to be simple. LOTS of parts need to be removed, and then even, it takes skill and patience to get oil cable set on arm and adjusted. On an etec, easy peasy. Ten minutes.

I also find this to be a tough job. Codooster is a professional who maintains a fleet, so I definitely won't use him as a good example to show how easy it is lol There is a technique to get the job done, but I don't find the word easy applies.

Not sure about the ETEC. How do you fit the split cable to the oil pump?

Yep...the ETEC is super easy....no oil cable to worry about with an electric pump.

YES

I don't know what is up with those guys sometimes.

This winter, one of my Primary Clutch Arms failed.  From drop off to fixed sled was less than 2 hours, and the price for the repair was very reasonable.

I am curious what Bibben's would quote for that job.

picked up sleds , questioned the service manager , told him flat out called another dealer about price, about hour labor to change cable  ,he still says they would have to tip motor to get to oil pump , whatever , big box store dealers suck .
