Serviceability???

But... It definately looks night and day more difficult to wrench on from the pics I've seen. It looks like you'd have to remove more than just the hood to yank the pipe. Also, that secondary really looks to be blocking any kind of reasonable access to the air box, carbs, top of the engine, etc... That and I guess the only way to remove the secondary is to completely remove the jackshaft!!! They say it's a quick and easy procedure but who knows???
I can't wait till March 4th to see what the rest of the lineup looks like. If the entire line, including the GSXs makes the jump to the 800R and the XP chassis I'll definitely be tempted. But with so much new tech (all new chassis, front suspension, rear suspension, and a radically different driveline) it's hard not to be a little leary of first year bugs. At least the 800R has one year under it's belt. (Is that secondary the same as the one on the 07 Summits that they had issues with or is it completely new?)

hopefully its the same a the summit casue I hear they got that one fixed... !
easy access?? what do you mean, can't you access everything from that "hood" in the fornt...
at least the side panels are still hinged... and not pop-off... that shows some great engineering (or a good cad operator

I'm kinda surprised no one else seems to be concerned about the "serviceability" of these new sleds. It wouldn't be that bad if you could remove the driven clutch the "normal" way. But having to yank the jackshaft just to get close to the carbs??? That blows!!! I sure hope they change their mind about permanently mounting the driven clutch before the production runs start.
