One other question I have is ... does the slip fit center pipe make it that much easier to install  the MBRP  than SPI ?

If it needs to be there I will do it but if it doesn't it will save me some time making it..

The slip center fit is a waste of effort and is not need to install, It is just a problem area with the clamp and they always leak there! I weld them up to prevent leakage.

I wasn't sure but now I am .. mine never leaked or had any problems but it was an early one from 2010 if that makes any difference..

Also like to thanks Steve ( SBT ) for the loan of the manifold ... I started on the jig using 1/4 bolts that are a wee bit bigger than the factory studs so if it fits on jig it will definitely fit on motor and the plate will hold flanges square to surface... shouldn't have to do much more than whip them across big belt sander to flatten them.

I will be adding quite a bit to the jig to keep everything squared up once I get my paws on a header.

Looks a little rough right now but will make more sense as it comes together.

Grover was kind enough to send me his spare all the way from MI. so I should have it in a couple days.

Once I get the jig finished up I will start figuring out pipe placement and length.... one thing for sure is I am going to try and make it wrap friendly because wrapping any other than Hindle looks to be a pita.

ya for sure took 1.5 hrs on my Mbrp and still not happy,I had to wrap two pipes at a time in places, even after wrapping I had to insulate the plastic cover for steering post as it was starting to melt and I noticed this on a cold day

Would have to remove steering post to install... trying to make it easier to use not harder...lol
he has mill programmed now for flanges so he can whip them off in minutes if I want more.

not true, PL and Precision headers are one piece flange and they both go around the post

I have never seen one like that unless it waa for a turbo.
I will try and find a pic of one.
