You going down B1tch!!

along with this picture.

You are never going to believe who sent that text....That's right, the big man (Clayton)

I couldn't believe it for two reasons, 1) a freakin' four stroke?????

2) wouldn't beating me actually be beating himself seeing he built my engine?

Well Clayton, you're going to need a tune there pal because your stock 204 hp in that waste O power skid ain't got nothin' for the old Mach pushing close to the same power. :)

Love ya buddy!!

Muffler and a tune is all it will take. The new yami motor comes out hard not like the old cat motor.

Ya, ya... Seen that video and only held off the stock 850 by two lengths.

I've been doing some grudge racing the last few years against some seriously built turbo yammies and built AC 1100 turbos and they get nervous when I show up.

We'll see what the sidewinder has to bring to the plate soon enough.

Down here they are over 300hp with stock turbo and race fuel. They beat 800ps sleds in 660 at full ride height. A couple guys thought they could build 2 strokes that could compete. Hooper 1400 with spray came close but the motor wouldnt stay together. 1500 rotary crankshop in a rev chassis was quick but the turbos are to good. No mach has a chance when they start modding these turbos

I'm not sure what's going on in your neck of the woods but I regularly race built 1100's on C12 and a Yammy viper that's stretched, turbo, large Intercooler and again runs onC12

They both get me from a dead stop but not by much. From a roll, neither have yet to pass me. I'm set up better now so we'll see this season. I'm still on pump gas too.

Again, I'm not sure who's racing but I do know of an outlaw 4 cylinder on NOS based of an 809 that pretty much dominates in ISR outlaw on grass against the best turbo sleds in the nation.

As for Clayton's old imp stock, it ran consistent 5.9's and the occasional 5.8 seconds in 660ft. Show me a turbo improver running that.

Sure, it's easier to get the power from a turbo sled or any turbo for that matter. I know first hand as I've been running and building turbo engines (cars) since the mid 80's

All in fun Sleeper. Cheers! :Cheers

Im with you Gaboon 2 stroke all the way. But we cant deny the power potential of these turbos. They can race on the lake then switch tunes and go trail riding. Jennette racing has a turbo apex that gos 125 in 660 ft. Its a touring model with high windsheid and a 2 up seat. The best of both worlds by just turning the boost up or down
I hear ya, same with the guys I play with on the lake. They run up and over 300 hp with one tune on race fuel, flick a switch and run all day on the trails with a 200 hp tune on pump gas. It is the best of both worlds honestly. Not something you and I can do with our normally aspirated engines.

That said, I can't wait to get out there and do something more than bench race.

Here is a sidewinder vs a stock 2003 Mach Z 800 owned by billyz24

This video was from yesterday.

Now that said, the sidewinder may be faster from 40 mph to 100 but it's yet to be seen.

Gaboon put down the alpine, yamaha bad driver machz 1/2 sled before the flagger.IMO any race they let power adder into improved classes is just wrong, open mod,or outlaw fine.

Hey, a win is a win..;)

I hear ya, I don't know the specifics. Could have been late day grudge racing, who knows.

I'm with you and follow ISR race classes and in that, there are no turbos racing normally aspirated in any class, only open, power adder, outlaw...

Wow, the pipes look awesome! Probable will make them last much longer too before rust shows up.
Definitely. However, they would have ever rusted with the way my sled is taken care of.

The coating does give it the bling though.

The other aspect was to reduce under hood temps along with the other benefit of getting and keeping heat in the pipes.

They do need more time to heat up for drag racing.
Coated or uncoated? Theoretically the ceramic coated pipes should heat quicker, maintain the heat better and speed up the exhaust flow. Well, that's what I read on the intrenets...So it must be true.

I know that uncoated Clayton would warm them up for a minute or so with a number of full throttle shots before he placed the sled and I got on.
