With winter underway it's time to start showing off our rides. Let's see pictures of your beasts of burden out in the snow....

Not much snow here yet, but enough to get out and scratch the itch...

Looks good NB, I should have gone for a scoot too but I think I'll wait for some ice first.

No snow yet, but here's my last time out in the spring -

12715721_920637194651529_780742223231860

An overnight wolf hunt/ice fishing trip, dumped 4ft of wet snow overnight and turned in to a bit of a rodeo on the way out. :)  The Expy 900 Sport did pretty good busting trail on the way out but took a few dives that needed a pull from the Skandic

There's really no rush, not very good going yet.

I was only going to pull my sled out of the shed to make some room, but figured as long as I was on it, I might as well go for a little ride. Get over to the bogs and see a pile of birds, so I went home to get my gun. Of course when I got back there the birds were no where to be found. Then I decided to go down to the upper portage and managed to get the sled caked in bog mud going through a few soft spots.

I think I'll wait a couple of weeks before I bother going out again. I don't mind low snow conditions, but I like everything to be froze up at least.

No real snow in my part of AK.

Big parts of the rivers and slough are still open.

No real snow in my part of ak either.

Driving over frozen tussocks on my 4wheeler to check my traps is getting old, fast.

Sorry for the dark pic. That's the highest the sun gets in Fairbanks in December.

Your gauges have an ambient temp readout? I wonder if my sled has that? I've never seen it there.

Digital engine temp readout. My '17 900 has it, '15 1200 does not. I like it. I only wish one could see a few more of the options at once. Would be nice to have mpg and temp displayed at the same time.

Edit - just posted, then saw the ambient displayed as well. Now I wonder if mine has it too. Haha. Probably not, have to buy that extra module??

As this thread alludes to, it's really hard to tell. My 900 LE has the digital engine temp, so I'd assume the Expy Se and Le both do with the 900. It came that way, I didn't add it. Anyone's guess though with other motor configurations what does and doesn't have it, plus there are several levels of gauge packages so the 900 Expy sport might not have it for example. Short answer is you'd have to see that model year with that engine and gauge in person to know for sure, which doesn't help with spring orders..
