The last MLB thread was from 2010 and was archived lol

Probably not as many fans as NHL or NFL, but baseball is my favorite sport out of all the major ones.  Lets start up the discussion since the MLB Winter Meetings are under way and more deals will start to be made.

Chicago White Sox fan here.  I dont expect any major moves by them since they really need to start rebuilding, gotta shore up the minors with talent and get the kids they have now some big league experience.

There is going to be some crazy money thrown around with pitchers too. Price and Grienke already for $200M+, Samardzija for $90M. Just saw the Dodgers got Chapman to close games for them, havent heard for how much though.

Love me some baseball hot stove!!

Cubs just got lackey from the cards. Zimmerman Just went to the Tigers. Still more good pitchers out there. Just who wants them more

Chapman for 2 prospects.   Thats gonna be a 1-2 punch with Chapman and Jansen. I imagine one will be the 8th inning guy.

I guess I forgot to mention that the White Sox got Avila and Navarro to catch. Flowers is gone, thank god. He was so frustrating to watch bat.  So we will see how the pitchers adapt to the new guys.  BA and OBP from the catcher positon should go up with those two though.

I wouldnt mind a Quintana for Schwarber trade between the Sox and Cubs  :biggrin_old:

I think any team would love to have schwarber! Or any of the Cubs young players. Maybe we can work out a Castro for Chris sale trade? :P

Wow, Cubs.

Sign Zobrist and then deal Castro to Yanks for two arms. Jealous that my White Sox can't really make any decent moves at this time.

I wish they woulda gotta Gardner from the yanks at least. Zobrist will be a nice addition to our club, but we really need another starting pitcher.

Don't forget we picked up John lackey from the cards. Darn good 3 or 4 hole pitcher. Too bad he's 36 or whatever....

Baseball is by far my favorite sport. I'm a life long Tigers fan. By the way 1sfurness I hope you guys have better luck with Dombrowski than we had. He made some good deals but also

some serious head scratchers. Hopefully we can make a few more good moves this winter.

Big Yankees fan.  During the season I watch most night games.  To the Cubs fans, you got a really good pitcher in Adam Warren.  The Yankees really jerked him around and kept giving starts to CC Sabathia because of his contract.  I would like to get Warren back but Starlin Castro is exciting hopefully he puts it together in NY.

Glad this thread was started.  I feel like I am surrounded by football and hockey fans around here.

White Sox got Lawrie, will solidify 3rd base finally. Been a real struggle watching that corner the past few seasons.  He has a WAR of 14, im pretty excited about this trade!'

I think the White Sox got one more trade coming, Todd Frazier maybe......maybe....
