No offensive but most of the guys posting advice to Mazie here have thousands and thousand of km inn these boosted 1200's dating back to 2010. and have been threw it all from when fpp kits were the ones to have the next mcx and now the real big boy is motec.

I can tell you the turbo doesn't quiet up theses sleds a lot

Not a lot no, but it does make a difference on any engine if it has a turbo, it acts like a muffler. More power = more noise, simple physics. If you are easy on the throttle with a turbo and a can on a somewhat low boost level, its going to be manageable to keep quiet. I run my custom turbo engine with a straight pipe right off the turbo into the tunnel and I trail ride the sled, if your easy on the throttle it really isn't that loud in the snow. Sure she screams when I let those 300 ponies fly though! That's what I have found anyways.

These 1200 have a wicked ear ringing drone to them. Justin's fpp cam won awards at asmoil shoot out for quietest can but it's still no good for 8 hour days

I hope everyone doesn't think I am ignoring their advice.

Some advice I take, some I have to find out on my own.  Some I have my own ideas about that may go against what some others think.

I went through this same thing with my MACH Z build.  Sometimes people do somethings that is similar, but not the same and that little change makes a huge difference.  in addition, we all have different ways of doing the same things.

I can guarantee that this sled (even if it were around for 50 years) will be new things to try.  Small Block Chevy's have been around since the 50's and people are still making new things for them.  No one knows everything that is possible.

I respect Justin, and have met him.  For personal reasons, I am chosing not use any of his products I don't have to.  I am not going to say anything negative, just not going to say anything.

So keep the ideas coming...I may use them, I may not...but please don't be offended if I chose not to....even if you think have done the same thing.  I have OCD and if I get something in my head...it doesn't matter what someone says, I have to follow it through.....I don't always know what triggers it, it don't always have to do to something....LOL....It is just the way I am built.

Not much today.

Had to take mom to a new Dr this morning.  One closer to our home so we don't have to drive so far.

Went to work for a bit.  Came home and worked on this a bit, then had to do some laundry and get ready for the weekend.  Sheila got VIP tickets to Country Lakeshake in Chicago.  3 days of both kinds of music...country and western....she likes it so gotta go.  Fair is fair, she goes to snow shows and doesn't really care for them.

I got the fuel tank in, the fuels lines in and had to track down some fuel injection clamps.

No.  These will be fine.  Cleaned the hoses and heat shields.  Not sure I like colored vacuum lines.  I have some for the turbo stuff, not sure going to use those either.
